Nightclimbs

Walking at night is a very special experience. First you'll think that there is nothing to be seen but you'll be surprised! During clear nights the sky above us is dotted with billions of stars and the milky way is like a big dusty white cloud. When you look down over the lowlands towards the Adriatic sea it's obvious that we are not alone here in Le Marche. Ascoli Piceno is easy to find but also the village of Amandola and Montefortino can be regognized.

As soon as the daylight comes and the sky colors purple and red we will discover where we are. The beautiful mountain ridges, high peaks and even the Corno Grande in the far distance pop up like if the always were there; and they were!

After the sunrise, seen from the top of Monte Sibilla (2173 mtr) and we descend and find our way back tot the starting point. From here it is only a short drive down to al typical Itlian farmhouse where breakfast will be served. Minimum age for nightclimbers: 16 years
